About Us

Team Minnows were founded in 2007 by a group of friends who come from different walks of life, but came together with a common goal – to play football in a team environment. Since then, the team has played friendly matches on every possible weekend as long as there is no disruption to the majority of the squad and the availability of opposing teams and venues.

It was until July 2011, the break came when Team Minnows participated in their very first competitive amateur league under D2D Sports. The team has joined the D2D Sun AM League and has since competed with several teams and dished out some decent results. Team Minnows will continue to improve in every aspect of the game and strive to play the beautiful game in a beautiful way.

Nonetheless, Team Minnows aspire to build a team of players who can play good football in a team culture, and more importantly, a group of friends who can enjoy the game together regardless of the results.

It knows it has to swim faster than the fastest shark or it will be killed. Every morning a shark wakes up and knows that it must outswim the slowest minnow or it will starve to death. So, it doesnt matter if you are a minnow or a shark, when the sun comes up, you had better be swimming.
